At Hyatt Farms, we want every guest to feel confident, safe, and comfortable<\/strong> while enjoying their time on the range. Here’s a quick guide to help you dress smart and stay focused on your shooting\u2014not on your outfit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Range Wear Do’s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Check before you come<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before heading out, check our website<\/span><\/a> or give us a call<\/span><\/a><\/strong> to review any dress requirements. Most ranges–including Hyatt Farms–recommend closed-toe shoes<\/strong> and avoid loose or revealing clothing<\/strong> for safety reasons. Check the weather<\/span><\/a> on our web site<\/span><\/a> and dress for the conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Wear a Hat<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

A simple cap can shield your face from the sun and protect your head from ejected hot brass<\/strong>. It also keeps hair out of your eyes, helping you stay locked in on your sights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Always Wear Eye & Ear Protection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This isn\u2019t optional–eye and ear protection is mandatory<\/strong> on all of our ranges. Choose snug-fitting safety glasses and quality hearing protection to safeguard your senses while shooting. We have everything you need available for sale in our Pro Shop<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Pack a Scarf or Neck Wrap<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Shirts with open collars can expose your neck and chest to stray brass. Toss a lightweight scarf or wrap in your bag–it\u2019s a quick and comfortable way to add a layer of protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Choose Long Pants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Long pants protect your legs from brass, bugs, brush, and the elements. We recommend cargo or tactical pants<\/strong> with room for movement and plenty of pockets for mags and gear. If you’re practicing holster work, wear pants that match your carry setup. Certain classes have specific apparel requirements. Please read the description closely or reach out to our range staff<\/span><\/a> with questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Have Dedicated Range Clothes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Keep a separate outfit just for shooting days. Even with good ventilation, indoor and outdoor ranges can expose you to lead particles<\/strong>. Changing immediately after your session and washing your range clothes separately helps limit exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Avoid Tank Tops & Low-Cut Shirts<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Exposed skin is a hot brass magnet. Stick to high-neck, long-sleeve shirts<\/strong> when weather permits. The more coverage, the more comfortable your shooting experience will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Open-Toed Shoes Discouraged<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sandals, flip-flops, and ballet flats leave your feet vulnerable. Trust us–brass loves to find bare skin<\/strong>. Wear sneakers, tactical shoes, or boots that fully cover your feet and ankles for maximum protection and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\" Keep Jewelry to a Minimum<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Leave the large earrings, bracelets, and rings at home. Jewelry can interfere with your grip, aim, and safety<\/strong>, and you don\u2019t want anything getting in the way of your best shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
